Another quick update on Destiny Archive, my husband’s current personal project. He wanted some clean icons to accompany several messages/alerts. Jawa, Cad Bane and Unkar Plutt all deal in the realm of trading/scavenging/dealing and hence are great characters for this site. My husband’s mate Graham is best man at his friend Martin’s wedding. For Martin’s bachelor’s party, Graham wanted to print T-Shirts with a caricature of the groom. He asked me if I know anything about caricature drawing and if I would do it. Spoiler: I know NOTHING about caricatures. It never interested me as an art form. Yet I promised, I’d give it a try anyway.
Sometimes that answer is easy and in this case I could call it procastination. Sometimes it’s just so much more fun to scribble than doing work chores. Just like this morning, when I saw Elena Mutonono’s website and read her helpful article on How To Find Time For Creativity When You’re Always Busy. My better half wanted a C3PO pictogram for error notices on his Destiny Archive project. Why a picto, I am not sure. But the requirement was to have C3PO as svg. That meant, I couldn’t make it the same style as the hero banner Cad Bane, at least not with all this lovely texture detail.
