A quick thank you for all the generous gifts to Quinn’s baptism.
Baby pause caused me to be a bit lazy with personal project. I totally forget how time consuming newborns are. After almost 5 months, I slowly get some personal time back. My fingers start itching for some design. There’s a small project for my lovely busband on the line, so stay tuned for an update. I hope it won’t take another 5 months 🙂 Meanwhile, here are some pictures of the only creative outlet I did in the last months: some birthday cards & packaging.
This month, I finished my final contribution to the Plunket Remuera newsletter, for now anyways. It’s been a fun little side project and I enjoyed doing some editorial illustrations. Here are some images from the latest newsletter issue. More after the jump.
It’s been a while since I posted something new. The reason: it has been manic with freelance jobs in the last weeks. On top came that I lost all my work related files since working as a freelancer (personal and work files). I’m still in the process of getting back whatever can be recovered. It goes without saying that I didn’t manage to do personal work at all, so this time I just digged out an old thing I did for my mum on mother’s day.
Hello everyone! My lovely husband just launched his personal site. Is it a one-pager? Yes. Did he code a personal CMS for it? Yes. Why? Just for fun. And he might use it on other projects he has in mind. I contributed just the banner. Peter did everything else himself. Nice, eh?
Head over to his site!
Due to a short deadline, the illustrations of the latest newsletter from Plunket Remuera are intentionally a bit rough and “untidy”. That allowed me to save up on time while keeping a little bit of a painted look. These illustrations are done purely digitally. More images after the jump.
Last week, I watched the documentary film “Searching for Sugar Man”. And story, images and music still stuck in my head. Those posters are a little tribute to a moving and emotionally satisfying experience. If you haven’t seen this brilliant film yet: do it. It’s well worth it.
Since quite a while now, I am working on a picture book whenever I’ve got time and motivation. It’s far from being finished, but I’m determined to finish this personal project some day. Recently, I’ve got too many ideas that I start working on but never manage to bring further. It should actually stand on the top of my list of new year’s resolutions (which I don’t have, but IF I had it:) see a project through from start to beginning. So, today I’ll show you a work in progress. More images after the jump
